The world is fast-paced and we all feel the need to keep up. School, work, home, family, hobbies, they all eat up parts of your day and create daily stress. You may find yourself unable to keep up the pace anymore, you can feel simply tired. When you feel like this the majority of the time, you used to hear that you could have chronic fatigue syndrome. Now the new name for chronic fatigue syndrome is adrenal fatigue syndrome.
Adrenal fatigue, characterized by a lack of energy, a foggy feeling, and mild depression, does have a cause. The adrenal gland is not functioning properly. The fast-paced life you lead has over-taxed your adrenal gland and it can no longer produce enough hormones to keep your body feeling energetic. You shouldn’t feel tired after sleeping all night.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this syndrome. Eating properly and lifestyle changes can produce results, but they take time. Supplements also help. You must make time for yourself each day. A break can help you feel refreshed, ready to tackle the problems ahead. Regular exercise can also help, as long as it is not a stress-producing sport when you are in competition. Try to find an activity, like bicycle riding or walking, that is relaxing, Lifestyle changes can reduce or eliminate symptoms, be patient and don’t give up hope.
